In times of increasing societal polarization and retreat into digital echo chambers, Hessischer Rundfunk is making a strong statement for dialogue and unity. The long-term initiative 'Because Hessen Connects More' aims to showcase the diversity of opinions in Hessen and promote societal discourse. At the heart of this effort is the experiment 'What Moves You, Hessen?' where 40 people from Hessen, representing a wide range of societal and regional backgrounds, come together to openly discuss topics such as homeland, democracy, fears, and the media.In addition to a 60-minute main film and various short formats on social media, the initiative will be editorially integrated over several weeks into all hr programs on TV, radio, and media libraries. This positions hr as a platform for dialogue and social cohesion.
